Task Details
The Inspection Time task requires participants to judge which of two lines is
the shortest after only seeing them for a very short amount of time. The task
runs in exactly the same way as described in Nettelbeck and Burns (2010). The
initial SOA (the time from target being presented to then being occluded) is set
to 250ms. Any incorrect response adds 18ms to the SOA, three correct responses
in a row lowers the SOA by 18ms. The task is terminated when there have been 8
reversals of direction.
